Thanksgiving and what’s to come….

The holiday was actually nice. We spent Thanksgiving Day with my parents, Vanessa, Jose, and the mutts. Everyone got to share a little movie time with Kalyssa. She insisted that everyone had to watch Ice Age 3 and Monsters. Everyone loved the movies. I have never heard any of them laugh so hard especially my dad at a kids movie. Mom made a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.  She made turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, deviled eggs, rolls, and so much more. (Great job mom!! It was delicious). We also celebrated Jose’s birthday a well. The cheesecake was good, but a little too rich.

Then on Friday, we went to the Thanksgiving gathering for Tim’s family. The food was great, but I really did not get to enjoy it all. Kalyssa played with a lot of the kids that were there, but I think we were waiting to get back home.  We spent the rest of the night just chilling out together. We watched television, some movies, and just lounged around. That was what I really needed. I have been working a lot and right before Thanksgiving I put in 29 hours in three days. So the resting is what I really needed.

We had originally planned on attending the candy and cookie weekend at Tim’s Aunts. However, we were unable to make it because I was asked to work to cover the parade. I wish I would have never done it. It just was not a good day. I decided I will not volunteer to work on my day off again. Maybe we can make it next year. I’m sure Kalyssa would have enjoyed that :)

Since we are rounding the end of November and the beginning of December, we have quit a bit going on soon. Kalyssa will be turning 3 on the 12th. We have a birthday party for her on the 13th. Hopefully this year more people will show up, but we will see. Then we have Christmas with Tim’s family on the 20th. Christmas day with family and then new years. I’m sure we will be busy with a lot of different things. Hopefully in between all of this, I can get up some Christmas craft ideas to share with everyone.

Have a great night!!!

Jess
