This morning was one morning that I honestly could have lived without. I was heading to work at 4:30 am like I do every morning and I got just a few minutes from home and the unthinkable happened. I happened to glance over to the left and I saw two beady eyes, a black nose, and a furry gray face. This young buck was coming at me fast. As soon as I saw him, I hit the breaks. I knew he was going to hit me, but I did not want to have him hit me while I was driving. I think hitting the brakes was the smartest things I could have done. The damage was there, but I’m sure it could have been a heck of a lot worse. It was surely one of the scariest things I have ever done ever. It was also my first time ever hitting a deer or even having to do anything with a cop.

There are some more things wrong with the car. There is a dent in the hood, the door panel is pushed under the fender and the door makes noises when opened, and the hood has a few crinkles around the light. however, the good thing is that the car is still drivable.

I was so lucky. This could have really been a lot worse. I hope this is something that I will never have to do again.

This was not the only bad thing that occurred to me this morning. I was late for work and was not informed that my opener had called off at 1:30 am. (I was wondering why she did not answer her phone when I called her).  So a smashed up car and no opener……. I am so glad that it is over.
